For this stadium, we set out to gather artists who carry Pittsburgh in their bones. We've highlighted three prominent and exceptional talents — Gavin Benjamin, Mia Tarducci, and Burton Morris — each shaping a different moment of the building, from facade to lobby to concourse.
Burton's contribution pays homage to Andy Warhol, Pittsburgh through and through, whose pop legacy began in these same streets and still echoes through the city's visual voice.
And we've opened the doors wider. We've invited two of the greatest sports artists of all time — Charles Fazzino and LeRoy Neiman — to join us as our brothers in art and in baseball. We're proud to carry their work alongside our own. We're glad to have them.
Beat 01 · Facade
Born in Pittsburgh in 1964, Burton Morris is an internationally recognized pop artist renowned for his radiant black outlines and energetic, vivid color palettes. A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, his iconic post-pop style has achieved global reach, featuring in NBC’s Friends and serving as signature artwork for the Academy Awards and the Olympic Games. For the Panthers' stadium, Morris will command the exterior facade. His bold, branded identity mark is designed to read from a distance and naturally translate to team signage and merchandise.
Beat 02 · Main Lobby
Mia Tarducci is a celebrated abstract oil painter based in Pittsburgh. After studying art history in Italy and at Georgetown University, she launched a highly successful painting career, eventually being named "Emerging Artist of the Year" by the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts in 2014. Tarducci’s mastery of large-scale abstraction and gestural color fields makes her the perfect fit for the main entry. Her lobby centerpiece will utilize a deep river-and-steel palette to create a monumental arrival moment that captures the dynamic direction of the city.
Beat 03 · Concourse
Born in Guyana and raised in Brooklyn, Gavin Benjamin is a Pittsburgh-based mixed-media artist whose dynamic work combines original analog photography with collage, paint, and varnish. His luxurious, multi-layered compositions frequently explore the intersections of culture, media, politics, and history. Benjamin is responsible for the concourse mural series, which serves as the primary narrative spine of the stadium program. His sequential panels will intricately layer archival steel-era and Hill District imagery with motifs of modern technological renewal.
One of the most popular and recognized 3-D pop artists in the world, Charles Fazzino has created official artwork for the Super Bowl, the MLB All-Star Game, and the World Series. His signature technique layers hand-cut paper into dense, joyful cityscapes and stadium scenes bursting with detail and celebration. We're honored to welcome him to the program as a brother in art and baseball.
The official painter of five Olympiads and the artist whose bold, kinetic brushwork defined how generations saw sport, LeRoy Neiman brings his unmistakable explosions of color and motion to the program. From Ali to the Olympics to the ballpark, his work captures the raw energy of the game like no other. We're thrilled to have him join us as a brother in art and baseball.
